For lack of any halfway decent topics in this week’s slow-ass news cycle, I’m gonna continue with our unofficial “Stunt Double” series…

This photo comes from the set of Blades of Glory (2007), in which a specialized breed of stunt doubles–that is, skating doubles–stepped in both to accentuate the performances and protect the safety of the actors in question. For the role of Stranz Van Waldenberg, Patrick Hancock doubled for Will Arnett; To to help fill Fairchild Van Waldernberg’s ice skates, Tiffany Scott doubled for Amy Poehler.

Certainly, this is a most uncanny pairing of pairs. I wonder if Arnett cracked any jokes about swapping…
