This is such a non-issue and it borders on facism. I smoke every once in awhile but I don’t really miss it in bars or clubs anymore (not that I go all the time either). Sometimes you just want the freedom to harm your own damn self. IT’s not like people who smoke want to harm anyone else either. They’ll never ban smoking completely from anywhere, too much tax revenue from it for most state govt’s. And yes it’s a nasty habit, but it’s also really addictive. Just like drinking, or heroin, or cocaine. They’re all drugs people, and the most socially acceptable (drinking) is the most dangerous and most addictive one besides smoking and they both go and in hand in hand, what a coincidence!

Shoot, there’s a county-wide smoking ban here in OH; sometimes I just want to have an unlit cig in my hand, just to see what would happen.

You know this thing is out of control when there’s a NO SMOKING sign in the effing elementary schools.

But I shouldn’t get started; as a former smoker WHO REALLY MISSES IT, I don’t begrudge anyone either. Freedom of choice I always say.

I never realized that I could blame my smoking on Hollywood films. That’s brilliant. I’m calling my lawyer tomorrow.

I also think my past problems with drinking were probably due mostly to the presence of ugly women in bars. If women were better looking, I wouldn’t have had to drink so much. Clearly I am entitled to some kind of compensation. I will ask if the bars or the women should pay me for my suffering. Maybe both?

In Ontario, stores must now hide cigarettes from view. I would have more personal freedom in China than today’s Canada.

The play Jersey Boys was fined here in Chicago because the actors smoked in it. An audience member complained. It’s just a whole new kind of stupid.

There’s nothing more dangerous than a politician addicted to taxes. Go ahead, try and cut one of!
