Comic-con is quite the big deal these days, and getting more flashy with every year. Celebrity panels, teaser premieres, elaborate video presentations—producers will try just about anything to drum up interest in their current projects. Director Richard Kelly made a fairly low-key presentation for his new film The Box, but the interest level was already fairly high since people were wondering whether it would be as offbeat as Donnie Darko or as relentlessly crappy as Southland Tales. During the discussion, Kelly’s star Cameron Diaz tried a really unorthodox method for getting the fans’ attention: revealing the surprise plot twist at the movie’s ending.
