“Richard helped us by making it not just people from Mars as well,” Diaz says inadvertently revealing [Frank] Langella’s character is an alien. “There had to be someone testing mankind as well. As Jimmy was saying, ‘Keep it simple,’ but the example of “Are we alone? Are we the only ones out there? Is it just us or is there someone else to push the button as well?”
Amazingly, Kelly didn’t leap to his feet and beat her to death with a chair, but let’s face it: This puts Cameron Diaz on the same level as that guy in the theatre lobby who says, “I don’t see what the big deal is. It took me, like, two minutes to figure out that Bruce Willis was dead the whole time.” Cameron should never, ever speak without using a script.
