I don’t believe this for a second. But a guy can dream, can’t he? From the National Ledger:
According to a report set for publication in this week’s ‘Star Magazine’ Britney loves Sanjaya. “Britney started watching American Idol when she was in rehab,” a source tells the Star. “She became a huge Sanjaya fan and thinks the two of them can make beautiful music together.”
The story goes on to note that Brit is looking for just about any route that will take her back to the pointy apex of pop stardom she’s been skidding down for the last couple of years, and Sanjaya’s vast audience of tone-deaf teenage girls looks like a good place to start. That actually makes sense, which is kind of frightening. If this is true, I’ll lose every shred of respect for Sanjaya.* On the upside, pop culture as a spectator sport doesn’t get any more blackly hilarious than this. If Lindsay Lohan decides to reclaim her credibility as an actress by doing voice-over for a talking pimpmobile in Cars 2, 2007 may live in memory as the greatest year of my life.

I am not a brain dead teen age girl, I have kids older than Sanjaya and I love him, he’s fun and interesting and I miss him already. I’m with you on this, I would lose all respect for him if he teamed up with Britney Spears, I can’t even imgine it. She should think of how old and used up she would look by pairing up with a guy whose voice hasn’t even changed yet and who looks better than she does, at least his hair does, she doesn’t have any. Bad move for both of them.
