One would think that, after confessing to not washing one’s own hair for six weeks and having the resultant stench confirmed by outside sources, there wouldn’t be much left to say on the topic of Robert Pattinson’s lassez-faire attitude towards personal hygiene. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case, for the topic has resurfaced in a New magazine interview:
Is it true that you rarely change your clothes?
Yeah, kind of. Like these jeans are a few days old, but the top is probably fresh because it gets to the point where even I can’t stand the air around me. I don’t know, my personal hygiene – it’s so disgusting! Really it’s just that I have very few clothes that I like and I’m travelling all the time, so I can’t really get any more. And what about your hair?
Yeah, there’s a fascination with my hair, too. It’s funny, because that’s all down to how I used to hate my dad wanting to brush my hair when I was a kid. I hated it! So it’s funny this whole thing with my hair is just from not brushing it!
From the looks of these New Moon press conference photos, RPattz will be looking like a grunge rock lead singer until he is absolutely required to don a fresh suit. Strangely, Kristen Stewart (love her hair) and Dakota Fanning (just damned adorable) don’t seem to rely on the constant “travelling” excuse in regard to their own personal appearances:

I really seriously do not get the appeal, even taking into account the fact that women are basically insane.
Men and women are both insane.
And I think a lot of the RPattz appeal must have to do with the tortured, sparkly vampire character that he plays. He wasn’t considered a heartthrob until he took that role.
