We”’d be remiss if we failed to remind our readers that this Sunday, 8:00 EST marks the return of the Jack Bauer Hour of Power. This season promises to be outstanding, with big-league terrorist attacks, Islamofascist baddies, and more torture than an entire season of American Idol auditions. In fact, the attacks are already underway in the first hour, when President Wayne Palmer (brother of assassinated former president David Palmer) ransoms Jack from his Chinese captors by doing something terribly unwise, like giving them Alaska. Once Jack is back on the case, he”’ll face supervillain Kumar of Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, along with lots of grief from the president”’s sister, who is a lawyer for some incredibly annoying Islamic advocacy group that is not at all like CAIR. We”’re also promised that at some point the wonderfully despicable President Logan will pop up, along with his heroic but drug-addled wife. Not to mention Jack”’s dad. All in all, Season Six promises to be a rollicking good time. Those on the east coast might want to follow along with the gang at Dave Barry as they liveblog the episode (their thread for last season”’s closer ran to something like 1200 comments). Those living elsewhere will probably want to wait until they”’ve seen the show. And thanks to The Llamabutchers for pointing out the Kill Counter Challenge at Blogs4Bauer.
