I’m not quite about the origins of this bizarre creation, but I’m pretty damn sure that, if Trent Reznor had it his way, there would be a puppy dog in place of that damn cat. Finder’s credit, such as it is, goes to some freaks in the NIN forums, where the masses have been going batshit crazy ever since 12/17, when the bass went bomb and Reznor typed the following words at the end of a blog post: “[W]e may have a small holiday gift for you soon. Check back.”
Now, I’m not trying to draw an intuitive connection or anything, but The Rez dropped that teaser just a few short hours after yours truly stated, “Trent Reznor really is Santa.”
Coincidence? I think not, bitches.
Of course, The Rez hasn’t blogged since then, and, 2124 comments later, well, it’s become quite an amusing situation. The dude definitely realizes what he’s doing, and watching this play out is about as voyeuristic as that piccie above.
Mates, if you want logic and proper spelling, then hit the next post, where you’ll find at least one of those psuedo-intellectual concepts.
