I do hope their fans have learned a little civility and good sportsmanship since 2000. I had the displeasure of encountering them at the Holiday Bowl that year, and they were the second rudest fans I'd ever met (only UW fans top them). It was a good game, well played by both sides, and Texas deserves the win, but two things:

1. a three point win is not an “ass-kicking”.
