Kristen Stewart might or might not be a decent actress (the jury’s still out on that one), but she’s clearly a graduate of the Megan Fox School of Shooting Your Mouth Off. She’s trashed the franchise that made her famous, and compared paparazzi photos to being raped, neither of which endeared her to Twilight fans. Oh, and she also trashed the fans, which probably didn’t help. But just in case there were any lingering doubts about her love for Twilight and its fans, she’s now comparing them to a pack of murderous killbots:
I don’t feel very comfortable on the red carpet…. I look out there at a thousand people and I realize they could rush me and assassinate me. No security could protect me. Ostensibly they’re fans, but I think about them turning on me.”
It’s not the fans you need to worry about, Kristen, it’s the critics. (And, of course, mean-spirited bloggers like Yours Truly.) Right now, the critical consensus on Eclipse seems to be “doesn’t suck like a black hole,” which makes it the Citizen Kane of the “Twilight” franchise. Kristen is probably relatively safe, at least until Breaking Dawn: Part One reaches the screen.

Yeah, but she’s bangin’ Pattinson, so she’s partly messed up from the rainbows and unicorn dust from that magic hair of his. Her other problem is that she hates her fans.
“assassinate” implies that the subject is politically important. If she just said “kill” or “murder,” this would be slightly better – not much – but the fact that she used the word “assassinate” indicates that she’s egotistical as well as delusional.
