E! News says that it’s confirmed Christina Aguilera’s rumoured pregnancy, but the online magazine has not named a source, has not spoken to Christina herself, and has also failed to secure a publicist statement. In fact, Christina hasn’t told any news outlet that she’s pregnant, but various sources are stating that her estranged father, Fausto Aguilera, has confirmed that his daughter is with child. Apparently, these words by a deadbeat dad are as good as a leaked ultrasound video or an internet-broadcasted peek into Christina’s uterus, but none of these “sources” have really considered the fact that Christina reportedly hasn’t spoken to her father in several years. The songstress has always long since revealed her lasting scars from her father’s physical abuse, so it puzzles me why she would inform him of any pregnancy. Christina seems to have far more common sense than most starlets these days, and in addition, her hypothetical maternal instincts would probably keep her far away from a former source of domestic violence.
