I heart Garbage, a band that’s released four records and played thousands of live shows later, one of which I was fortunate to attend at Cain’s Ballroom (a little dive whose walls once bore holes via the fists of Sid Vicious). Over a decade later, Garbage has proven that they are more than “three producers and a girl.” This 1995 video of “Only Happy When It Rains” features a surprisingly sexy Butch Vig and ultimately iconic Shirley Manson:

I had forgotten all about Garbage! I have their first album but have never heard the others. You\’ve inspired me to dig the CD out of the closet along with the original Jesus and Mary Chain version of this song.
Really? Version 2.0 is their best work, at least to my untrained ears. Beautiful Garbage was just alright, but Bleed Like Me is damn good!
I like their song from Romeo + Juliet, I Will Die 4 U (not the Prince song!)
