‘Tis a weekend for working on cyberdesigns. After all, tending to this place on the weekend is generally an unrewarding task. Fortunately, my fabulous co-author posted one of her parental adventures below. Even better is the fact that Chrissy’s resident city was spared by the latest hurricane. So everything is coming up smiles on that end.

On another note, I have a very unpleasant score to settle. As many of you know, my lovely Japanese grandmother passed away in early August, and it shall take quite some time for all this to settle up. She and I were very close, and of course, I haven’t posted much about her passing. One thing that I will proffer is this:

To the asshole who emailed me after learning of my loss – the creep who stated that he had just finished writing a post on death and loss, and “Isn’t that karmic?” – fuck you. What an insensitive prick you are to comment upon suffering in that manner, and I really should call you out publicly on this, but I will not. After all, I do retain some dignity, and I would be vengeful to perform the same insensitive treatment upon you. Consider yourself mercifully spared.

*Ahem* Now onto a brief observation about the urban sprawl that persists on an interstate basis, or what I’d like to refer as “the demise of the American family.” To contrast the unfortunate loss of my grandmather, I received more news yesterday from my father, who unfortunately recently transferred to a new position that involves a daily hour-long commute. As such, most communication is done via email, which is rather surreal concerning the subject matter. His estranged father passed away last October, and as crappy as this is for me to admit, I feel absolutely nothing for the grandfather I haven’t seen for seventeen years. That is all.
