Who Invented The Mullet?

By Bedhead in Bono, Patrick Swayze, Pop Culture Mix

Apparently, a dispute exists between two alleged entertainment heartthrobs.

According to Bono, “I have issues with that guy, real serious issues,” upon which one naturally assumes that he was enraged about Patrick Swayze’s butchering of the pachanga in 1987′s Dirty Dancing. Oh, but this rift runs far deeper than a silly little dance, for Bono details the foundation of his anguish:

“I read somewhere that people think Patrick Swayze invented the mullet. Someone needs to tell him I invented the mullet.”

Swayze’s reaction, bless his little cottons, was to profess his unnatural and undying love for Bono. Perhaps Bono really did invent the mullet, but we offer Patrick Swayze the following consolation prize – no one else can ever lay claim to his dramatic portrayal of the “No one puts Baby in a corner” line.

LOL! As much as I despise mullets, I must confess that I once lusted after a man with one. Oh the shame…

Bono is a BORE. At least Swayze doesn’t think he’s Jesus Christ

He had the same initials though in Dirty Dancing, and Johnny Castle “saved” Baby with his second coming.

Hey! I’ve still got a mullet! Not really…but you should see some of the mullets here in the OH Valley. Helloooo? The 80′s are over.

Bono’s mullet was almost too punky back in the day. It bordered on a mohawk looking thing! Check out the old album covers!

My vote goes with Swayze, only because he looked too darn good in Roadhouse!

Err hello people……it was the fashion in those days, it was hip, and sexy. It’s like in the future everybody dissing current hairdoos, and sport tracksuits.

Mullet has different meanings, to me the Mullet was David Bowie’s hair in the early seventies, and to me…………DAVID BOWIE invented the mullet or what I like to call sleek prem-punk.
