By Mr. Atoz in Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer, Smoking Bolts

John Mayer might be some kind of Imperial Wizard of love under the sheets, but his relationship skills have an uncommonly short shelf life—something plenty of women could have told Jennifer Aniston, but which she’s now learned for herself. According to the Mirror, Mayer dumped Jennifer in the tackiest manner possible. That’s right, he sent her a text message:

After a 20-minute phone conversation, he just said, ‘I can’t take it any more,’ and hung up. Then he texted, “That’s it - the end.”

It’s too bad, really. Now that a whole string of men have told her that she’s a great lay but not exactly relationship material, Jennifer needs to rebuild her self-esteem by realizing that she’s too good for guys like these, turning the tables, and dumping one of the ADD-challenged mansluts. John Mayer would have been a perfect candidate for that role.

I can top that. My ex-wife of 11 years told me she wanted a divorce while I was visiting my family in New York (3000 miles away).

You might think gee, doing that over the phone is pretty tacky. But no. It was an e-mail.

It is, however, the sort of thing that removes any second doubts.

I never thought that much of her myself but, heck, if she’s looking for somebody stable to put up with a lot of bullshit and share her money I’m a real practical, modern-type guy.
