There is a lot of buzz being generated about the release of the iPhone. Some think it’ll be the greatest thing ever. Others think it’s doomed from the start. Which left me wondering just how many people are planning on dropping the $500 and sign up for a two year agreement so they can consolidate phone and iPod? Me, not so much. Don’t get me wrong I loves my iPod, but I hates, hates, hates a damned telephone and the thought of combining the two, well it just pisses me off. So this is where you damned lurkers gets to speak, if you damned get your hands outta your crotch and operate the keyboard, are you or aren’t you?

Not to be outdone though, Microsoft is planning on moving into your kitchen.

The “Kitchen Client” software will extend the Windows operating system and integrate with current and future Windows Live services, according to sources close to the company. It sounds, from what I can tell, more like an add-on layer than a whole new version of Windows.

Among the features Microsoft is planning to make part of its forthcoming kitchen computing environment are a family calendar, recipe center, entertainment features and a shared bulletin board, sources added.

Great now I’ll have to reboot my damned toaster and coffee maker if I want breakfast, not to mention I’ll have to worry about my microwave hitting me up with hundreds of ways to enlarge my peen. Damn it. Microsoft could have stopped with fucking up our coffee tables, but no, they had to go all they way. I swear by all that is holy if I ever have to reboot my bed before I can get groove on I’m burning Microsoft’s headquarters to the ground.
