Proof, if more were needed, that actors rarely make good role models for anything except acting: Robert De Niro might record a rap duet with 50 Cent. According to Contactmusic, the screen legend became friends with the rapper while they were both filming Righteous Kill last year, and he’s open to future collaborations (maybe):
We had some good conversations. As for any future collaborations or rapping, you never know.”
Not much to hang a story on, I admit. And with any luck, nothing will ever come of this very, very unfortunate idea. Still, there are two things to keep in mind about De Niro: a) He’s starred in something like half a dozen of the greatest movies ever made; and b) He’s spent the last decade making dreck like The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Meet the Fockers, and nobody gives a rat’s ass. At this point, his legacy is pretty much made of adamantium. The man could record a series of instructional clog-dancing videos, and it wouldn’t amount to more than a footnote to his career.

I know he’s been in some pretty bad movies lately, but I have to believe that Bobby’s fucking with us here.
