finish that stanza, I dare ya….
Yesterday evening was met with a pleasant surprise, and I must preface with a bit of background. Last fall, when I was packing up my old blog to venture into the good graces of Pixy Misa’s Munuvania, I mentioned within a post that I wouldn’t be blogging again for a fistful of fortnights. Although the phrase rolled off my nimble fingers, it certainly was catchy, and I received a handful of emails about it. Yep, that’s right – alliteration-based email. (Of course, the subsequent rationale for choosing that name for this blog can be found here, if anyone’s curious.)
One of the emails concerning that key phrase came from The Continental Op, or the good professor, as I’ve been referring to him of late. As a renaissance man of sorts, The Op mentioned that Fistful Of Fortnights would be a great title for a song, and when I actually chose the title for this blog, he emailed again, saying that he would indeed write that song at some point. Ladies and gentlemen, this long-awaited moment has arrived, and I am pleased to announce that the good professor has recorded his musical version of Fistful Of Fortnights. I certainly hope he doesn’t mind that I now claim that my blog has a theme song. Go listen to it – it’s awesome!
On a slightly more freakish note, those bad boy LLamas are claiming that I was the inspiration for a certain Police tune. All double entendres aside, ’tis a slanderous fabrication! On the other hand, I always wondered what made Kathy so snarky, Gordon so cranky, Chip so bloody hateful, and why Jeff Goldstein never knew I existed. Sigh…some things never change, do they? Yip Yip!

I’m glad you like the song.
you take them both and there you have the facts of life…the facts of life.
Hmm. Couldn’t quite help myself. I figure if it’s on my brain now—and is sure to stay there for the rest of the day—well, it should be on everyone else’s too.
I’m all about the sharing!
Such a woman to move and inspire men so.
